She has performed in theatres and festivals around the world, including at The Yale University Theater Studies Program in the United States, the Odeon Laboratory at the Olimpo Theater in Italy, the Diaghilev International Arts Festival in Russia and the Théâtre de la Ville in France. She has facilitated workshops in universities and research centres and lectured at renowned educational institutions worldwide.\nIbou Ba was born in 1974 in Dakar, Senegal. Coming from a family of musicians, he grew up with traditional Senegalese music and began learning drumming (Djembe, Sabar) at the age of 10, perfecting it over the years at Daradji Percussion, the classical school of drumming. Ibou Ba has been living and working in Austria and Senegal since 2010. In Austria, he performed at Impulstanz and during dance courses with “Ballet Tilibo,” Ismail Ivo, and Germaine Acogny. He was engaged by prominent musicians for their concerts in Austria, such as Baba Maal, Prince Zeka, Mamadou Diabate, and Daradji Family. Ibou Ba Daradji Percussion also performs with Harald Huber and Max Doblhoff. In 2022, Ibou Ba released his CD “Mama Africa.”\n//\\ 19:00 //\\ \nReading: Ana Schnabl hosted by Mascha Dabić\nAna Schnabl (1985) is a Slovene writer and editor. She is currently writing her doctoral thesis on women’s autofiction and working on an anti-bildungsroman about a girl growing up in a violent family. As a cultural journalist she worked for the daily Dnevnik for a number of years and wrote various articles for magazines. Her 2017 collection of short stories Razvezani (The United) (Beletrina) was met with critical acclaim and won the Best Debut Award at the Slovene Book Fair, followed by two further nominations and the Edo Budiša Award in Croatia. Three years later she published her first novel Mojstrovina (Masterpiece) (Beletrina, 2020), that garnered favourable reviews in numerous Austrian, German and English media and was longlisted for the Dublin Literary Award. Her second novel ‘Plima’ (Tide) (Beletrina, 2022) was nominated for the Kresnik Award. Her fourth book ‘September’ (Beletrina) will be published in August this year.\nMascha Dabić was born in Sarajevo. She studied translation and interpreting studies and received her PhD at the University of Vienna, where she teaches translation and interpreting in Russian. She translates literature, theatre plays and poetry, mainly from the Balkans region. In 2017 she published her first novel Reibungsverluste (edition atelier) on the topic of interpreting in psychotherapy.\n
